About MakroScenario
About me
I am Tamás Vasi, an economist with a PhD in Economics from Uppsala University. I work at DREAM, the Danish Research Institute of Economic Analysis and Modelling, and previously worked at Sveriges Riksbank. MakroScenario is my personal project exploring macroeconomic forecasts, scenario analysis and central bank communication.
Project purpose
The aim of MakroScenario is to make macroeconomic forecasting and central bank communication easier to explore. Instead of a single point forecast, the dashboards show full forecast distributions, the drivers behind them and how they shift under alternative scenarios.
The euro area inflation dashboard presents density forecasts for headline and core inflation together with a scenario simulator and an ECB policy indicator. The central bank speech dashboard uses text analysis to track the topics, outlook and disagreement expressed in central bank speeches.
I aim to update the dashboards monthly.
